Our main suppliers Maharishi Ayurveda and Amla Natur GmbH guarantee that all products are safe and that the ingredients are made according to traditional Ayurvedic recipes in companies with impeccable hygiene.

As both manufacturers consistently use only tested products, availability cannot always be guaranteed, and it may sometimes take a while before an item can be delivered again.
It is important to pay attention to where Ayurvedic products come from. Not all suppliers take such care.

All our products imported from India come from Maharishi Ayurveda Products India (MAP India), the leading manufacturer and worldwide supplier of high-quality Ayurvedic products, which today delivers to more than 50 countries.

Maharishi Ayurveda is one of the few companies in India to have integrated very strict control systems into its manufacturing process and to be certified by numerous quality labels.

One of the company’s key success factors is the exceptional quality of its products. Maharishi Ayurveda has in-depth knowledge across the entire field of Ayurveda and works closely with an internationally renowned committee of vaidyas (Ayurvedic scholars).

Manufacturing combines traditional wisdom and modern technology: the authentic, original recipes of Maharishi Ayurveda form the basis of the products, while state-of-the-art production facilities and standardised, certified procedures guarantee consistently high quality.

This meticulous approach has already earned the highest distinctions. MAP India’s food supplements have received the AYUSH Premium Mark Award, a quality label based on WHO standards. The All India Ayurvedic Congress, the highest Ayurveda body in India, confirms that Maharishi Ayurveda represents the authentic, classical form of this ancient medical knowledge and practises the entire Ayurvedic tradition in all its depth.
The Indian Ministry of Science and Technology has officially recognised and certified the in-house research centre of Maharishi Ayurveda Products India.
In addition, the company was the only one selected by the Indian Ministry of Health for the prestigious government project «Golden Triangle», which aims to study Ayurveda scientifically.

Maharishi Ayurveda products are made with the greatest care and in strict accordance with traditional Ayurvedic teachings. Every processing step is carried out under the strict supervision of experienced Ayurveda experts to guarantee maximum quality and authenticity.

This ensures consistently high product quality. Many pickers have been specially trained in the professional harvesting of fruits and herbs. To protect and preserve the diversity of Indian flora, rare plants are cultivated in a targeted way and promoted sustainably.

The effectiveness of a plant is strongly influenced by factors such as the season, the time of day and the lunar cycles. To respect this natural law, the raw material for Ayurvedic preparations is always harvested at the traditionally optimal time. After harvesting, the plant material is carefully checked, cleaned and sorted. Specially trained pickers make sure that the plants are harvested at exactly the right moment. Only raw materials that meet the highest requirements for purity, ripeness and effectiveness are used for production.

Maharishi Ayurveda combines the preservation of age-old knowledge with comprehensive quality controls in line with the latest international standards. These controls are carried out directly in India to ensure that only products meeting strict limits for heavy metals, pesticides, microbiological contaminants and mould toxins are placed on the market. If a key raw material is not available in the required quality, or only in a lower quality, production is consistently forgone rather than compromising on quality.

Batches of imported products are also tested in Europe by independent laboratories for pesticide residues (herbicides, insecticides, fungicides), microbiology (bacteria, yeasts, moulds, salmonella) and heavy metals (lead, cadmium, mercury, arsenic). These analyses are carried out according to the latest European standards.

For Maharishi Ayurveda, Ayurveda, the science of longevity, means not only promoting the well-being of its customers but also taking responsibility for nature and for the health of its employees. They process their ingredients gently and sustainably, largely on site, to minimise transport. Wherever possible, they grow their plants on their own land under controlled organic farming. They cultivate rare plants in a targeted way to protect biodiversity. For packaging, they use FSC-certified (Forest Stewardship Council) cardboard. Packaging made from recycled paper and starch, and avoiding unnecessary transport through local processing, also help protect the environment. Orders are shipped climate-neutrally.

Organic label

The ingredients of Maharishi Ayurveda products come from controlled organic farming in accordance with European Directives (EC) 834/2007 and (EC) 387/2008. These products carry the European Union organic label.

AYUSH Premium Mark Award

Maharishi Ayurveda food supplements have already received the AYUSH Premium Mark Award. This is a certification by Foodcert India, initiated by the Indian Ministry of Health, to ensure high quality guidelines for product purity. Every batch of imported products is tested for pesticide residues (herbicides, insecticides, fungicides), microbiology (bacteria, yeasts, moulds, salmonella) and heavy metals (lead, cadmium, mercury, arsenic). Vegan Flower

The Maharishi Ayurveda range includes a whole series of vegan products. Some of them carry the Vegan Flower of the Vegan Society, one of the best-known and strictest quality labels for vegan products. Among other things, this label confirms that the entire production process is completely free of animal testing.

BDIH/COSMOS label

The Maharishi Ayurveda natural cosmetics range is certified according to the strict BDIH/COSMOS ORGANIC/COSMOS NATURAL guidelines for controlled natural cosmetics.

Since its foundation, Maharishi Ayurveda has stood for natural beauty care. They were actively involved in creating the BDIH certificate for controlled natural cosmetics and still rely 100% on BDIH-COSMOS ORGANIC / COSMOS NATURAL certified natural cosmetics today.

Amla Natur GmbH quality

Amla Natur GmbH stands for the combination of ancient Ayurvedic knowledge and modern manufacturing standards. The high-quality organic products are based on original traditional recipes and at the same time meet the strictest European quality requirements.

The Ayurvedic products are based on recipes handed down from generation to generation, deeply rooted in the age-old art of healing. This commitment to traditional values is combined with modern quality standards, implemented in the company’s own manufactory, recently built in Germany.

Direct import from Indian suppliers

For more than 20 years, local experts have worked closely with growers in India. Amla only imports raw materials that pass their rigorous tests. Herbs and fruits that do not meet these high requirements do not make it into the range – even if this means that some products are temporarily unavailable.

A multi-level control system

The products undergo a comprehensive testing procedure that guarantees transparency and purity:

The raw material is purchased directly from producers able to supply the best organic quality. All aspects of cultivation, gentle cleaning and drying of the plants are checked by an Ayurvedic pharmacologist before processing. As soon as they arrive in India, all products are laboratory-tested for freshness and content of active plant substances.

In its modern production facilities, Amla combines traditional craftsmanship with modern quality management according to the HACCP method. Every production batch is independently tested by the LEFO institute.

The purity and freshness of all raw materials are checked in India before export. In Germany, they are analysed in an accredited laboratory for heavy metals, pesticides, microbiology and, if necessary, mould toxins.

All products are checked by a sworn food chemist to verify their compliance with German and European regulations and to guarantee maximum safety.

Laboratory-tested active plant substances

The herbs and plant substances in the products are analysed for their content of valuable secondary plant substances (phytochemicals). These analyses guarantee the optimal effectiveness of the products.
